Join us for Women Who Lead: The Skills Lab, an interactive evening designed for women who want to strengthen the practical skills that help them lead more effectively, navigate challenges with confidence and accelerate their professional growth.

Unlike a traditional panel discussion, The Skills Lab is a hands-on experience. You'll learn directly from three expert facilitators through practical sessions focused on real-world leadership situations and the skills that matter most in today's workplace.

Choose the skills you want to develop, gain insights from experienced leaders, and leave with actionable techniques you can start using immediately.

The evening will be moderated by Edel Buggy, ICCCTO Board Member & Lead for the Women, Leadership & Innovation Series and concludes with drinks, conversation and networking, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow women in leadership and continue the discussion in a relaxed setting.

This year's Skills Lab features three accomplished facilitators who bring expertise in leadership communication, business strategy and executive presence. Through practical discussions, real-world examples and interactive learning, you'll gain actionable techniques that can be applied immediately in your professional life.

Caroline Verboon

Communications Strategist | Trainer

Caroline helps leaders communicate with clarity, confidence and purpose, believing that authenticity and genuine connection are at the heart of impactful leadership. With more than 30 years of experience spanning corporate communications, teaching and entrepreneurship, she coaches leaders to craft compelling messages and build influence.

Through her work with Bloomberg's New Voices Program and The Globe and Mail's Leadership Institute, Caroline has helped leaders strengthen their presence, connect with audiences and make their ideas heard.

Viraj Desai, BScPT, MBA

Managing Director, CIM Professional Services Inc.

Viraj is a senior management consultant and founder of CIM Professional Services, with previous leadership experience in Deloitte's Strategy and Operations Consulting practice. Her expertise includes strategic planning, market growth, market entry and operational optimisation, supporting organizations ranging from multinational corporations to growing businesses.

In addition to her consulting work, Viraj delivers leadership training internationally and mentors students through the Rotman School of Management. Her diverse career journey provides a unique perspective on leadership, resilience and professional growth.

Arya Ashoori, MBA

Public Speaking Coach | Lecturer, George Brown Polytechnic

Arya helps learners develop the human skills that technology cannot replace, including presence, adaptability, creativity and meaningful connection. As a public speaking coach and lecturer at George Brown Polytechnic, he teaches professionals how to communicate with clarity, confidence and impact.

Drawing on his business background and experience in theatre and screen acting, Arya helps participants strengthen their presence, delivery and ability to think on their feet in high-pressure situations.
